Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish.
This week’s topic is top ten books that will make you (or me) laugh or at least chuckle. I don’t usually read things that can be considered humorous but I will give it a go.
- Is It Just Me? by Miranda Hart. This was hilarious and partly relatable book that had me snorting with laughter.
- Eric by Terry Pratchett. Any TP book is hilarious!
- Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. Ok, Rowell might not be famous for writing funny books (try heartbreaking instead) but Carry On had me both smiling and chuckling from time to time.
- Us by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy. There is a section in this when one of the mc’s have fever delusions that had me laughing out loud. I actually laughed so hard I cried 🙂
- The Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan. There are definitely moments during this serious that you will find yourself laughing out loud (at least I did).
- Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella. So much fun!
- Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill. Merit’s wit will have you chuckling.
- The Princess Diaries Series by Meg Cabot. Like seriously, this will have you giggling many times.
- Kindred Spirits by Rainbow Rowell. This also had me laughing out loud at times, and then sighing happily due to the cuteness.
- Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella. This books is from time to time hilarious, and overall it’s a great book.
That’s that! Easier than I thought it’d be.
I loved Carry On and Can You Keep a Secret- kicking myself for not thinking to add those to my list.

Carry On and both Sophie Kinsella novels made me laugh so much. I still need to read Kindred Spirits. I keep forgetting about that one!

I haven’t read the Princess Diaries books, but is it the series that inspired the two little movies with Ann Hathaway? Because, sweet jesus, that first movie still makes me giggle like a freaking loon. My TTT.

Yes, they are the inspiration 😀 They are a little bit different though, but I love both 😛

Maybe when Miss L is a few years older, we can read the series together.

I think the first ones are for young teenagers, I think Mia is 14, perhaps 15 in the first book. But Cabot do have one book with Mia’s half sister that is perhaps more suitable for kids 🙂

Hmmm, I will look into it. It’s hard when you have a rugrat that reads years ahead of her age. -.-

Lovely, but I guess it can be a bit challenging to find suitable books 🙂

Little bit. We were lucky enough to happen on the House of Robots series, though, so that’s been a funny one we can both enjoy.

I love the Percy Jackson books! I found Mia kind of irritating in the Princess Diaries books, though I do remember finding them funny.

They are amazing. Yeah she can be a bit immature which can be annoying:/

You’re right – any Terry Pratchett book is hilarious! I have a soft spot for the Moist von Lipwig books!
